Our estate planning practice emphasizes the use of trusts to eliminate probate costs, simplify administration, provide for orderly disposition of assets while minimizing federal estate taxes. We recognize that effective estate planning must be proactive. Using my 20+ year experience in this area, we can assist clients in developing an estate plan. Our estate planning practice focuses on large estates. For each client, we outline various alternatives and communicate with the client to create an estate plan which best suits the client's needs in light of the client's objectives.

The estate planning and trust administration services that we provide to our clients include:

• Preparation of Revocable Trusts (e.g. Family Trusts/Inter-Vivos Trusts/Living Trusts, etc).
• Drafting and planning for Irrevocable Trusts, and administration of these trusts.
• Drafting/planning of Dynasty-Multigenerational Trusts (Defective Grantor Trusts) to facilitate tax-efficient wealth transfers for the next generation and beyond).
• Planning and implementing intra-family gifts and sales to Defective Grantor Trusts in an effort to substantially reduce estate values of the Senior Generation.
• Forming/advising on Family Limited Partnerships/Family Limited Liability Companies and structuring transactions to intra-family transactions.
• Preparation of Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers and Living Wills.
• Administration of Estates and Trusts after the death of one or both of the trustors.
• Representation of Trustees and Beneficiaries in connection with the administration of the trusts.
• Preparation of Estate Tax Returns, and funding/allocation of assets upon the death of a trustor(s).
• Preparation of Gift Tax returns.
• Creation, Administration and Planning of Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, and Private Foundations.
• Creation of Special Needs Trusts.
• Implementing Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (QPRT).
• Negotiating and drafting premarital agreements and arrangements to assist with asset protection.
